Section 01
Introduction
This Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs the relationship between Carta Creations (“Company”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”) and its customers (“Customer”, “Client”, “You”, or “Your”) with respect to all photography, videography, album designing, photo printing, customized gifts, branding, event coverage, digital media production, studio services, and all other creative services provided by Carta Creations.
The objective of this Policy is to establish transparent guidelines relating to booking confirmation, payments, cancellations, refunds, rescheduling, delivery schedules, customer responsibilities, and legal obligations.
By accepting a quotation, confirming a booking, making any payment, or availing any service offered by Carta Creations, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Policy.
This Policy shall be read together with all quotations, invoices, booking forms, agreements, work orders, estimates, and other communications issued by Carta Creations.
Carta Creations reserves the right to modify or update this Policy at any time without prior notice. The latest version published by the Company shall supersede all previous versions.
Section 02
Definitions
For the purpose of this Policy, the following terms shall have the meanings assigned below:
2.1 Company
“Carta Creations” refers to the business entity providing photography, videography, designing, printing, branding, album production, customized gifts, and allied creative services.
2.2 Customer
Any individual, company, organization, institution, event organizer, wedding photographer, corporate client, or authorized representative who places Photo Books & Printing services with Carta Creations.
2.3 Booking
A booking shall be deemed confirmed only after:
- Acceptance of the quotation.
- Payment of the agreed booking advance.
- Written confirmation by Carta Creations.
2.4 Deliverables
Deliverables include but are not limited to:
- Albums
- Frames
- Photo books
- Customized gifts
- Printed materials
- Branding materials
2.5 Working Day
A working day means Monday through Saturday excluding declared public holidays.
Section 03
Scope of Services
Carta Creations offers professional creative services including but not limited to:
- Photo Album Designing
- Premium Album Printing
- Photo Frames
- Canvas Prints
- Personalized Gifts
- Corporate Branding Materials
Any service not specifically mentioned in the quotation shall be treated as an additional service and shall be charged separately.
Section 04
Booking Confirmation
A booking shall be considered confirmed only after all the following conditions have been fulfilled:
4.1 Advance Payment
The Customer shall pay the agreed booking advance mentioned in the quotation.
4.2 Confirmation
Booking confirmation may be communicated through:
- Signed quotation
- WhatsApp confirmation
- Booking Form
- Purchase Order
- Invoice acknowledgment
4.3 Balance Payment
Unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing, the balance payment shall be completed before the final delivery of photographs, videos, albums, or other deliverables.
Section 05
Pricing & Payment Terms
5.1 Quotation Validity
All quotations issued by Carta Creations shall remain valid only for the period mentioned in the quotation.
5.2 Pricing
Prices are based upon:
- Printing specifications
- Based on the Models
- Packaging & Transportation opted
5.3 Accepted Payment Modes
Carta Creations accepts payments through:
- Bank Transfer
- UPI
- Credit Card
- Debit Card
- Cheque (subject to realization)
Cash payments may be accepted only at the discretion of the Company.
Section 06
Additional Services & Charges
The following shall be treated as additional services and charged separately unless specifically included in the quotation:
- Extra album pages
- Premium album upgrades
- Urgent delivery requests
- Re-editing after final approval
- Additional print orders
- Customized gift packaging
All additional work shall commence only after Customer approval and payment wherever applicable.
Section 07
Cancellation Policy
7.1 Cancellation by Customer
The Customer may cancel a confirmed booking by providing written notice through email, WhatsApp, or an officially acknowledged written communication.
The following cancellation terms shall apply:
a) Cancellation before commencement of work
- The booking advance shall generally be non-refundable.
- Any third-party expenses already incurred (courier or transport expenses, etc.) shall be recovered from the Customer.
b) Cancellation after commencement of work
If any of the following activities have already commenced:
- Designing
- Printing
- Album preparation
the Customer shall be liable to pay for the work already completed along with all applicable expenses.
7.2 Cancellation by Carta Creations
Carta Creations reserves the right to cancel an assignment due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Serious illness of the printing team
- Accident
- Natural calamities
- Government restrictions
- Civil disturbances
In such circumstances, Carta Creations shall make every reasonable effort to reschedule the assignment in consultation with the Customer.
Where neither option is reasonably possible, any refund shall be limited to the amount received for the affected services.
Section 08
Refund Policy
Carta Creations provides highly customized creative services. Accordingly, refunds shall be governed by the following principles.
8.1 Non-Refundable Services
The following items are strictly non-refundable once work has commenced:
- Editing Charges
- Color Correction
- Album Designing
- Album Printing
- Frames
- Canvas Prints
- Personalized Gifts
- Customized Merchandise
- Branding Designs
- Logo Design
- Courier Charges
8.2 Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved at the sole discretion of Carta Creations:
- Refunds shall be processed within 15–30 business days.
- Refunds shall be made through the original mode of payment wherever reasonably possible.
- No interest shall be payable on refunded amounts.
Section 09
Delivery Timelines
Estimated delivery schedules shall be communicated during booking. Typical timelines are:

| Album Printing | 4–7 Working Days after approval |
These timelines are indicative and may vary depending upon project complexity, seasonal workload, customer approvals, and circumstances beyond the Company’s reasonable control.
Section 10
Album Design & Approval
Album design proofs shall be shared with the Customer for review.
The Customer shall provide consolidated feedback within the agreed period.
Once the Customer provides written approval:
- Album printing shall commence.
- No further modifications shall be accepted.
- Cancellation or refund requests relating to the approved album shall not be entertained.
If the Customer delays approval for an extended period, delivery timelines shall automatically stand extended.
Section 11
Raw Files & Digital Assets
All RAW photographs, project files, Adobe files, layered design files, source files, and working documents remain the exclusive intellectual property of Carta Creations.
Unless expressly agreed in writing:
- RAW photographs shall not be delivered.
- Editing project files shall not be shared.
- Source design files shall remain confidential.
Only the final edited deliverables specified in the quotation shall be supplied.
Section 12
Copyright & Intellectual Property Rights
12.1 Ownership
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all edited images, albums, designs, graphics, layouts, branding materials, digital artwork, source files, project files, and all other creative work produced by Carta Creations shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of Carta Creations.
The Customer receives only a limited license to use the final deliverables for the purpose agreed upon at the time of booking.
12.2 Commercial Usage
For corporate, commercial, advertising, branding, or promotional assignments, usage rights shall be governed by the respective quotation, agreement, or purchase order.
Where unlimited commercial usage has not been specifically granted, all commercial rights shall remain vested with Carta Creations.
Section 13
Portfolio, Website & Social Media Usage
Unless the Customer expressly objects in writing prior to the commencement of the assignment, Carta Creations reserves the right to use selected photos, or creative work for:
- Company portfolio
- Website
- Social media platforms
- Exhibitions
- Competitions
- Promotional brochures
- Company presentations
- Advertising campaigns
- Award submissions
- Client references
Where confidentiality is specifically agreed in writing, Carta Creations shall respect such restrictions.
Section 14
Customer Responsibilities
The Customer agrees to:
- Provide complete and accurate details required for Album Printing.
- Ensure timely communication with the Company.
- Approve album layouts, designs, and proofs within the agreed timelines.
Any delay caused by the Customer, including delayed approvals or incomplete information, shall automatically extend the delivery schedule.
Section 15
Force Majeure
Carta Creations shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, or failure in performing its obligations where such delay or failure arises due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Floods
- Cyclones
- Earthquakes
- Fire
- Pandemic or epidemic
- Government restrictions
- Curfews
- War
- Civil unrest
- Terrorist activities
- Transportation disruptions
- Power failures
- Internet outages
- Equipment damage caused by unforeseen events
In such circumstances, the Company shall make reasonable efforts to reschedule the assignment or provide an alternative solution, where practicable.
Section 16
Privacy & Data Protection
Carta Creations respects the privacy of its customers.
Customer information collected during the course of business, including names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, photographs and event details, shall be used only for:
- Executing the agreed services.
- Customer communication.
- Billing and invoicing.
- Delivery of products.
- Legal and statutory compliance.
- Customer support.
The Company shall not disclose personal information to third parties except where:
- Required by applicable law.
- Necessary for service execution (such as album printing or courier partners).
- Authorized by the Customer.
Section 17
Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to the services provided by Carta Creations, both parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through mutual discussions and good-faith negotiations.
If the dispute remains unresolved, either party may seek legal remedies before the competent courts having jurisdiction.
Section 18
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
All disputes arising from or relating to this Policy or any services rendered by Carta Creations shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
